The primary function of this position is to ensure the successful overall operation of a 10-week summer day camp program for elementary aged youth. This position will provide the necessary leadership to paid staff, volunteers, club members and parents to fulfill the mission of the organization which is to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. The Club's programs focus on helping Club members towards academic success, living healthy lifestyles and the development of character & leadership skills. It is the responsibility of this position to ensure that organizational goals, policies, and procedures are followed. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
• Management of Club operations
• Program planning, development, implementation and evaluation
• Recruitment, selection, development, supervision and motivation of staff & volunteers
• Knowledge of youth development
• A high level of computer literacy
• Financial management skills
• Facility and equipment management
• Developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships
• Public relations skills
• Ability to appropriately deal with member guidance and discipline issues
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is desired
Equivalent related work experience may be substituted
• A minimum of three years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar experience in organizational planning and supervision of activities based on the developmental needs of youth
• Must have knowledge of the policies, program and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs, or of the principles and polices of a similar nonprofit organization
• Must have a good driving record
• Certification in CPR and first aid a plus
• Must be able to pass a criminal and sexual offenders background check
• Bilingual (Spanish & English) a plus

TEEN CENTER DIRECTOR
